Q:I absolutely love this garage plan. My only question before purchase is where inside the home would you recommend placing hot water heater and HVAC air handling unit. My main house has these items in the attic, but I can't imagine it would be the same for this plan. Thanks for your help in advance.
A:Most people are using mini-split air units which can be place anywhere. Otherwise, locate the furnace in the workshop area.
As for the water heater tank or tankless unit, it could be located in the corner of the workshop area as well.

A:This is shown with stucco, but you can substitute any material you’d like.

For this size space, I recommend mini-split heat pump system.
