Q:does windows above foyer allow light into house? is plan available for cement block exterior walls?
A:Hello, The window in the gable is not open to the interior. Its located above the front porch, so its about 8 feet away from the foyer front wall. You could create a "tunnel" if you wanted it to be open to foyer. We do not offer this plan with block exterior.
Its possible to modify the plan to add block to the exterior footprint. There is not enough space inside to use interior space for the block walls, so that will add 8" of footage all the way around the house. The room sizes would remain unchanged, but the heated footage would increase approx. 100 to 120 s.f.
The fee to add block to all exterior walls is $1250 in addition to the purchase of the plan package. Block exterior walls would only be available with a slab foundation option. Allow 10 to 14 working days for preliminary plans, and another 10 to 20 working days for final plans.
Timelines vary with our workload, and will change weekly.
If you wish to proceed with modifications, call the website to place your order, and be sure to tell them that you have requested modifications. The plan package cost would be processed up front, and the modification fees would be processed seperately once we have completed the final plans.
