Previous Q & A
Previous Questions and Answers
Q:Thank you for responding to my previous questions.
It appears the exterior is stucco, does the foundations need to be modified for a brick exterior?
A:Hello,
Yes, the foundation would need to be modified for a traditional brick exterior, unless you chose to use a “false brick” exterior, then no modifications would be needed.
Jenna
Q:Does the plan come with a basement option? Are the hallways and doorways wider than normal to be wider wheelchair accessible? Are the doorways arched doorways?
A:Hello,
This plan was actually designed to accommodate a person with accessibility needs. Most doors are at least 2’ 8” and most hallways are at least 3’ wide. There are a few interior secondary doors that are 2’ 6”, however the designer has informed me that, if desired, the builder/carpenter for the home need only be notified that those particular door need to be 2’8” or pocket doors and those adjustments can be made on site without having to modify the plan itself. The doorways themselves are not designed with arches, there are several passageways that do not have doors that are noted as arched on the plan. If the homeowner would like to have the actual doorways built with arches, again that is something they would need to let their builder know and that can be done on site without needing to modify the plan.
We do not have a basement option for this plan, however it could be modified to have one created for it.
Q:I'm interested in buying the floor plan. Can you please tell me what it comes with? Does it come with the truss engineering. What else is it included in the plans?
A:The plans come with a floor plan, foundation plan, all four exterior elevations, roof plan, cross sections, details, and basic electrical plan. They do not come with Structural or Truss plans, HVAC, Mechanical, or Plumbing.
Q:Hi, I have a few more questions. What are the bathroom measurements? Is there a door that close off the bathroom from the master bedroom? Is there a door to the exercise room and what is that dark black space in the corner of the exercise room, which would be across from the fireplace? What are the pantry measurements? On the far side of the garage where the pool bath is. Because the pool bath/storage is outside, are there design elements to lock them when they are not in use?
A:Good Morning.
1. The Master Bath measurements ae 18'1" x 19'2" (including the excercise room)
2. There is not a door that closes off the bathroom from the master bedroom. There is only a doorway.
3. There is not a door to the exercise room.
4. The dark black space in the corner of the exercise room (across from the fireplace) is just a thick wall.
5. The pantry measurements are 4'4" x 5'10"
6. For the pool bath, there is a door leading to the ouside from the bathroom. You may put a lock on this door. Same with the doors leading to the outside storage room.
Thank you,
Andrea
Q:I noticed there are arrows that appear to point downward by the garage. Is this the possible bonus area: 303, that could be the basement? Thank you in advance for the prompt attention to my question.
A:The arrows that point downward by the garage are showing stairs that go down into the basement.
Yes, these could also lead to a bonus room upstairs.
Q:I would like to know the measurements of the exercise room? Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to my question.
A:The measurements of the exercise room - inside the glass block - is 8'6" x 5'8"
Q:In the Master Bathroom there is a dark line between the tub and the sink. Is that the space for the vanity? Can the fireplace in the Master Suite be seen in the bathroom as well? What are the measurements for the Breakfast Room, Kitchen & Utility Room. There are blurry words in the Family Room & on the outside of the garage that I can not understand what it reads. Is the Entry between the Porte Cochere and Foyer covered.
A:The dark line between the tub and the sink is the wall between the window over the sink and the glass block at the tub.
No, this is not a space for a vanity.
Yes, the fireplace in the Master Suite can also be seen in the bathroom. It is a two-way fireplace.
The breakfast room measurement is 11'3" x 10'8" (Note, this is approximate due to it being an angled room)
The Kitchen measurement is 13'0" x 13'2" (Note, this is approximate due to it being an angled room)
The Utility measurement is 7'6" x 12'0"
Not sure what blurry words to which you are referring.
Yes, the entry between the Porte Cochere and the Foyer is covered.
