COOL Plan Description
Mountain Craftsman Plan 72288 with 3 Private Bedroom Suites, Fireplace Porch and Outdoor Kitchen
Mountain Craftsman Plan 72288 packs a stellar collection of features into 1,928 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and an attached 2-car garage. This one-story Rustic design combines three private bedroom suites with vaulted gathering spaces and serious outdoor living, making it a choice home for a mountain retreat, lake property, wooded homesite, vacation getaway, or comfortable year-round residence.
The experience starts with a large covered front porch topped by a vaulted ceiling. It's more than an entry—there's genuine space to settle into a chair and enjoy the surroundings. Inside the foyer, a coat closet keeps jackets and outdoor gear conveniently organized before the floor plan opens into the home's main gathering area.
The kitchen and living room share an open floor plan beneath a vaulted ceiling, giving this relatively compact home a much bigger sense of volume. With fewer walls interrupting the main living area, conversation flows naturally between cooking, dining, and relaxing while the dramatic ceiling gives the interior the architectural punch expected from a modern mountain home.
Out back is where this design really shifts into vacation mode. A huge covered rear porch features a sloping ceiling, outdoor kitchen, and outdoor fireplace. Grill dinner, set up an outdoor dining table, add lounge furniture around the fire, and you've got a genuine second living room with fresh air and a view. The porch can also be screened for more comfortable outdoor living during buggy seasons.
The primary suite gets its own private territory thanks to the split-bedroom layout. Its bathroom includes a soaking tub, separate stand-up shower, and enclosed toilet compartment, while a large walk-in closet provides generous storage. It's a comfortable owner's retreat that stays separated from family members and overnight guests.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 take guest accommodations up a notch because each has its own private full bathroom. That's a boss arrangement for older children, multigenerational households, or a vacation property shared by several couples. Nobody has to negotiate for a shower in the morning, and a separate powder room handles visitors without sending them into a private bedroom suite.
The attached 2-car garage connects through a mudroom, providing a practical landing zone after a day of hiking, fishing, boating, or simply working around the property.
With vaulted ceilings inside and out, three en-suite bedrooms, a screened-porch option, outdoor kitchen, and fireplace made for cool mountain evenings, Plan 72288 turns 1,928 square feet into one seriously inviting Rustic Craftsman retreat.
