Previous Q & A
Previous Questions and Answers
Q:Hi I would like to know what’s the height of the garage portion is floor to ceiling?
A:The garage floor is sloped to the door, so at the garage door the ceiling height is 9’-4” and at the back wall it is approximately 9’-2”. The measurement of 9’ is taken from the top of the entry slab in the living area to the ceiling. There is a 4” drop from the entry slab to the garage slab to prevent water coming into the entry from the garage.

Q:Is the roof designed with traditional framing in mind or roof trusses? Is there a truss section with these plans?
A:The plans are designed with a stick framed roof (traditional framing), there is a cross section for the roof framing provided. If the client wishes to use trusses instead they should be able to get truss layouts from the truss supplier and submit these with their plans in lieu of the framing details shown on the plans.
