Previous Q & A
Previous Questions and Answers
Q:The window above front porch……can that be seen from open floor plan?
A:No, it is a technique to make the home much larger than it is.
Q:What materials were used for the porch floors? Thanks!
A:The specifications page of the plan is designed to allow the owner or builder to select the particular product they want in order to fulfill their décor and budget needs. The plan will indicate “porch floor decking” but the owner can specify if they want wood flooring or composite flooring. If the plan purchaser chooses the optional slab foundation, the same will apply and they can choose any product of their choice as the finished flooring for the porch (exposed concrete, brick pavers, stained concrete or whatever finish they desire)
Q:I have a couple of questions regarding plans for 65973. Do the electrical and plumbing plans come with these and are the plans stamped by a Professional Engineer? I plan on ordering without changes. In the plans it shows a window on the second floor is what type of space if any is one the upper floor? Thanks for your quick response. Callie
A:Regarding the windows in the gable, the intent is to make the home appear as two story in order to enhance the appearance. The plan is not designed for using the attic because it plays an important re in the efficiency of this super energy saving design. With some modification, some of the attic could be converted to living space.
